Nokia Nseries launches mobile TV devices
New Delhi, June 9 (UNI) Leading mobile company Nokia today launched its new Nseries multimedia device - the Nokia N92 --which is DVB-H enabled handset that supports live broadcast mobile TV.
This follows the recent launch of DVB-H Mobile TV services by national broadcaster Doordarshan.
The service currently comprises eight free-to air Doordarshan channels--DD National, DD News, DD Sports, DD Bharati, DD Urdu, DD Punjabi, DD Bangla and DD Podhigai-- supported on DVB-H enabled handsets.
'' Within a quick span, mobile phones have become the preferred mode for information and entertainment and we are glad to bring the Nseries flagship device in the country,'' said Nokia Director (Multimedia) Vineet Taneja.
With the growing popularity of mobile devices and its capability to offer instant access to information and entertainment, this initiative will bring in the perfect synergy between television content and the mobile platform, he added.
The company aims to capitalize on the booming Mobile Entertainment market that is expected to reach 10 billion dollars by 2010, company statement said.
