New political party launched in Nagaland
Kohima, June 9 (UNI) The United Naga Democratic Party (UNDP), a new political outfit, was launched at Chumukedima in Dimapur district.
Founder and veteran politician T A Ngullie said the party will be an alternative to all the ruling parties of Nagaland.
''It will work tirelessly for the development of Nagaland and its people,'' he said yesterday.
He also appointed O Mozamo Ngullie as convener. He said the names of other office bearers will be announced soon.
The state has only one regional party, the Nagaland Peoples Front, a major alliance of the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN).
