J'khand contains enouh resources to be a developed state: Noro

Ranchi, Jun 9 (UNI) Japan's consul general Motoyashi Noro today said that Jharkhand had enough resources to enhance its economic status by developing its basic infrastructure.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Noro said developing connectivity with nearby Kolkata considered as the gateway of India for Asian countries would help Jharkhand to embolden its economic strength.

'' The rail, road and water route connecting both the states would be fruitful for Jharkhand, Mr Noro added.

Giving special emphasis over health and education sector, Mr Noro said the Japanese government would look upon the proposal of state government regarding building of infrastructure routed through the Centre.

Mr Noro said the state had immense opportunity in tourism sector, adding tourists from Japan would also visit the state.

He said, relation between both countries would be emboldened as they were observing the 50th year of their friendship treaty inked in 1957 in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and his counterpart from Japan.

The counsul-general also met Jharkhand governor Syed Sibte Razi and Chief Minister Madhu Koda.
