Indian Overseas Bank to open 40 new braches
New Delhi, June 9 (UNI) Public secter leader Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) today said it plans to open around 40 new branches this year.
''The Bank has applied to the Reserve Bank of India for this provision,'' said IOB P K Chaturvedi while inaugurating the Yojana Bhavan Branch here.
The extension counter at Yojana Bhavan is upgraded to a full fledge branch from today.
From Monday, various services like core banking solutions, CBS will be available and customers of other IOB braches will be able to avail this benefit, said Mr Chaturvedi.
IOB has 1,780 branches all over India, out of which 58 are situated in the capital.
The northern region is very essential as it accounts for 25 per cent of the total business, he also looks after the IOB's northern region added.
IOB Chief Regional Manager S Chandrasekharan and Senior Manager Mukesh Kumarvij along with staff and customers were present in the inauguration ceremony.
