Goa CM condoles death of music director Wadkar

Panaji, June 9 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat today expressed shock and grief over the death of Bollywood's famous music director Dattaram Wadkar, who passed away at his native place Maulinguem Bicholim in North Goa yesterday.

''We have lost a gem from our rich musical heritage,'' Mr Kamat said in a statement, adding that the late Wadkar had left an indelible mark on the golden era of Hindi film music by not only setting score for a number of movies but also by his famous ''Dattu Theka''.

Offering his condolences to the bereaved family, the Chief Miniter stated that the void created by Wadkar's death was difficult to be filled.
