Four killed in lightning in Jharkhand
Jamshedpur, June 9 (UNI) Four people were killed when lightning struck them in East Singhbhum district yesterday, police said today.
Dhirendra Nath Mahto(40) and Chatur Bagchi(35) were struck by lightning yesterday when they were covering the wall of thier newly-built house at Chakdoha village under Ghatshila police station area. Both died on the spot.
Two others also became victims of nature's fury in Dumaria police station area of the district. A cyclist Makro Hembram(25) of Nunia village was struck by lightning and his body was ripped apart on impact.
Mohammad Ali(25) of Dolka village also met the same end when he was working in a paddy field. He was severly burnt and later succumbed to his injuries, police said.
All the bodies were sent for post mortem at the MGM government hospital here, police added.
