Four drown in Kosi river

Katihar, Jun 9 (UNI) At least four people, including two girls, drowned when a boat capsized midstream in the Kosi river in the district today.

Police said the incident occurred when the victims were returning from Somapur to their village Makkipur when the boat that was ferrying them capsized.

Of the six people in the boat, four met their watery grave, while two others swam to safety.

Two girls, who lost their lives, were identified as - Partibha Kumari and Gunja Kumari, police said.
