Copper, nickel decline on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) Copper and nickel declined on poor industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.
In the ferrous section, copper heavy and copper utensils eased by Rs 400 and Rs 200 per quintal respectively on lack of fresh demand.
In the non-ferrous section, copper wire bar fell by Rs 500 and Rs 100 per quintal on thin buying support.
Nickel cathode drifted lower by Rs 60 on thin buying support.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 34,300, Copper utensils - Rs 30,500, Brass utensils - Rs 25,400, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,700 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,700.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 37,800, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,000, Zinc slabs - Rs 19,100, Lead ingots - Rs 10,400, Tin slab - Rs 710 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,040 (per kg).
