''Cong has deprived tribals their right to land: Modi
Ahmedabad, June 9 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today charged the Congress-led UPA government with not allowing the right to land to tribals in south Gujarat.
''The Congress government is depriving 3000 tribals in Gujarat of their right to land cultivation,'' Mr Modi said while addressing a women's convention in Kevadia.
''At the time of Vajpayee government more than 35,000 tribals were granted the property right. However, this year when we submitted the proposal of granting rights to 3200 tribals, the UPA government government did not respond,'' Mr Modi added.
