Channy is president of Punjab Handball Association

Chandigarh, 9 June (UNI) Senior IAS officer S S Channy and Mr Balkar Singh Brar were today unanmiously elected president and general secretary, respectively of the Punjab Handball Association.

Mr Channy and Mr Brar will hold office for a period of four years.

In the annual general council meeting of the Association, Mr Channy was authorised by the house to nominate other office bearers and the executive members.

Punjab Olympic Association (POA) Secretary General Raja K S Sidhu and Punjab State Sports Council (PSSC) Joint Secretary Kehar Singh also attended the meeting as observers from POA and PSSC respectively.
