BHEL bags order from IOCL

Tiruchirapally, June 9 (UNI) The public sector undertaking Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged an order worth around Rs 430.50 crore from its customer Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) for their Vadodara project at Gujarat.

According to a press release from BHEL here today, the scope of the order would include design, engineering, manufacture, supply, election and commissioning of two numbers of frame VI gas turbines, and supplementary fired Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) for the IOCL's residue upgradation and quality improvement project at the Gujarat refinery.

As per the order, BHEL Tiruchirapally unit would supply the two HRSGs, each rating 100 tonne per hour (TPH) to suit the commissioning schedule of 23 and 24 months, respectively. BHEL's Hyderabad unit would supply the gas turbines, the release added.

Fuels like naptha, liquified gas and high speed diesel would be fired in the gas turbines, while HRSGs would use LNG and high speed diesel as supplementary fuels. BHEL had already supplied HRSGs to more than 70 customers, including IOCL, the release added.
