3 burnt alive in cracker factory fire

Rohtak, Jun 9 (UNI) Three people were burnt alive and 11 others, including three women, sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out in a cracker manufacturing unit here today.

The injured, three of them seriously, were admitted to the PGIMS here.

About a dozen fire tenders from Rohtak and adjoining districts were called to control the fire, the cause of which was being ascertained. A forensic team had also been invited to ascertain the reason.

Deputy Commissioner R S Doon announced ex-gratia relief of Rs one lakh each for the family of the deceased. The district administration will bear the expenditure on medical treatment of the injured.

Rohtak Member Parliament Deepender Singh Hooda arrived at PGIMS with local MLA Shadi Lal Batra to inquire about the health of injured people.
