16 IPS officers transferred in AP

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government today transferred 16 IPS officers and posted them in different police departments.

According to an official release here, City Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajiv Trivedi, facing charges of assisting Gujarat police in handing over Sohrabuddin, killed in alleged fake enounter, was transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police, Grey Hounds.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) M Punna Rao was transferred and posted as city Additional Commissioner of Police, (Crime), while Varun Sindhu Kul Kaumudi, Commisioner of Police, Visakhapatnam was posted as city Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic).

Group Commander, Grey Hounds, Mahesh Chandra Laddha was transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) of Guntur district.

City Joint Commissioner of Police, Special branch VRK Mohana Rao was transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID and Andhra Pradesh Police Academy Joint Director Amit Garg, was posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Special branch, Hyderabad city.
