Webel-SL inks MoU with PV cells manufacturer

New Delhi, June 8: Webel-SL Energy Systems Ltd, solar photovoltaic cells producer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Europe-based PV cells manufacturer to study the feasibility of setting up a wafers and solar cells production unit in West Bengal.

The unit will have an installed capacity of 100 MWp, that could be further expanded to 200 MWp, company said in a statement.

Depending on the results of feasibility study, both companies will create a joint venture to build up and operate the new plant, it added.
