Shivani Deval, Roshini Rasal share top honours in HSC exam
Pune, Jun 8 (UNI) Shivani Sanjay Deval of Fergusson College, Pune and Roshini Dnyandev Rasal of Premraj Sarda College, Ahmednagar jointly topped the Pune division with a score of 95.33 per cent in the HSC exams, the results of which were declared today.
The duo was followed by Nazim Abdul Sattar Sheikh of Lady Tahirunissa Inamdar Junior College, Pune, scoring 95 per cent.
The overall pass percentage in the division was 71.09 per cent for the Class XII exams conducted by Maharashtra State Secondary and Higher Secondary Board (MSSHSB) in March this year.
MSSHSB Chairman Vijaysheela Sardesai told reporters that the district-wise percentage for Pune division was: Pune-73.37 per cent, Ahmednagar-71.45 per cent and Solapur-65.39.
A total of 1,51,424 students registered for the exams, while 1,48,654 students appeared of whom 1,05,678 (71.09) passed the examination.
