Seven die of fever, toll rises to 29 in P'thitta dist

Pathanamthitta, June 8 (UNI) Seven people undergoing treatment at various hospitals for acute infection of viral fever died today.

With this, the total number of deaths due to suspected chikungunya and other viral infection in the district rose to 29.

Official sources identified the deceased as Ambily (30) and Padmanabhan (56) of Enadimangalam, Adoor, Thankappan (67) of Ranny, Valiyakulam, Chandravally (68) of Meenkuzhy, Chittar, Sarasamma (80) of Chittar, Koshy Thomas (55) of Anjilikkunnu, Konni and Thankachan (55) of Madathum Moozhi, Perunad.
