Rain to the rescue of Kolkatans from extreme humidity
Kolkata, June 8 (UNI) Morning showers brought relief to city-dwellers, who were suffering due to extreme hot and humid conditions.
Met officials reported 5mm of rainfall and predicted more spells later in the night.
Maximum temperature was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 25.1 degrees Celsius.
Maximum humidity level was 91 per cent and minimum was 72 per cent.
The night sky is expected to remain generally cloudy with the maximum temperature likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours.
