Policeman killed in road accident

Lucknow, June 8 (UNI) A policeman died while an official and his family injured in a road accident at Umri area of Moradabad district this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Niranjan -- gunner of Moradabad additional superintendent of police (ASP) Yogesh Singh Yadav.

Police said Mr Yadav had been transferred from Bijnore to Moradabad and he was on way to his new place of posting.

However, his vehicle hit a State roadways bus, in which Niranjan died on the spot and the ASP's family sustained injuries.

The injured had been admitted to hospital.
