Passenger with chicken-pox sent to hospital

Kolkata, Jun 8 (UNI) A passenger from Dubai today arrived at the NSCBI Airport here with signs of chicken pox.

Airport health officials and doctors of the Airport Authority of India sent Sardar Anusur Rahman of South 24-Parganas district to the State Infectitious Diseases Hospital at Beliaghata, Kolkata.

Recent reports of a small pox epidemic in neighbouring Bangladesh had alerted the airport authorities who were asked to be on the lookout for any passenger arriving with signs of chicken pox or small pox.
