Opium seized
Bagha, June 8 (UNI) Three smugglers were arrested and opium, packed in eight sacks, was confiscated on Indo-Nepal border near Bariyarwadon canal under Chutha police station area in West Champaran district this morning.
Police Superintendent of Bagha Vikas Vaibhaw here said the estimated cost of the seized opium in the open market was about Rs eight lakhs.
He added that following a tip-off, raids were conducted in the area in search of the smugglers.
The opium was being smuggled to Uttar Pradesh.
