Mumbai: Designers to showcase at Rome fashion Week
Mumbai, June 8: The Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) has announced that designers Neeta Lulla and Pria Kataria Puri will be showcasing their Autumn-Winter collection at the Rome Fashion Week, scheduled from July 9-13, in Rome.
The designers are selected on the decision made by the LFW Advisory Board, enabling LFW to integrate India into the global fashion world. LFW and Alta Roma, promoters of Italian style and the 'Made in Italy' concept around the world, announced an exchange programme for designers at LFW Autumn-Winter 2007 this March, a release yesterday said.
Ms Consuelo Aranyi, Alta Roma said, ''Alta Roma plays an important role in promoting the 'made in Italy' brand world over.
With this exchange programme, Italy and India will witness an excellent exchange of talent and creativity. We are delighted to welcome Lakme Fashion Week designers to showcase at the Rome Fashion Week.'' On her participation, Neeta Lulla said, ''It is a good platform to be seen at various fashion weeks, especially on international shores. LFW plays a pivotal role in taking Indian designers to international markets.''
