Vadodara, June 8 (UNI) A fast track court here today sentenced a man and his wife to life imprisonment for burning a woman to death in June 2004.

Jaswant Kumar Goswami and his wife Savitriben Goswami of Sadasal village of Savli taluka were sentenced by Magistrate U S Bhatt to life imprisonment for killing Goswami's elder brother Jitendrapuri's wife Kalpana on June 16, 2004 over a property dispute.

Kalpana was admitted to a hospital, where she breathed her last.

The Magistrate, however, let off Kalpana's mother-in-law Ambaben and her sister-in-law Prafullaben for want of evidence, linking them to the crime.
