Bangalore, Jun 8 (UNI) Leading Indian IT skills educator, Indian Institute of Hardware Technology (IIHT) will, come September, start courses in Bahrain for local and expats under a tie up with the Bahrain Institute of Technology (BIT).

Planned to spend US 10 million dollars in infrastructure over the next three years, IIHT also planned to set up its regional Hub in Bahrain for serving the Middle East Asian countries, IIHT CEO Keshava Raju told newsmen here after exchanging agreement with BIT today.

Under the agreement IIHT would help BIT set up a state of the art training centre in Bahrain and explore various business opportunities. BIT was expected to invest six million dollars in the venture.

IIHT had already ventured into China in a big way with as many as ten training centres, including two joint venture centres already functioning and another 90 to be added in due course, Mr Raju said.

He said potential for Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) in the Gulf region was enormous as these countries needed trained professionals. IIHT would offer its three year BSc. course besides a one year Post graduate diploma course.

BIT CEO Adel A Al Safar speaking on the occasion said BIT was delighted to forge partnership with IIHT. BIT would be the exclusive franchise in the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide the industry high level education in It programme.

Globally IMS market was worth 200 Billion dollars and training alone was expected to secure a business of 25 billion dollars, Mr Raju said. IIHT was also planning to make inroads in the African continent with agreements already signed up with institutions in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
