Hooda inaugurates Mega Blood Donation Camp
Chandigarh, Jun 8 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda inaugurated a Mega Blood Donation Camp at Bal Bhawan in Bhiwani today.
The camp was organised by the District Bhiwani Administration and the District Red Cross Society jointly to mark the 150th Anniversary of the First Independence War of India on the occasion of the death anniversary of Pandit Neki Ram Sharma, a well known Freedom Fighter from Haryana.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said such camps infused a spirit of social service, patriotism and cooperation among the youth which played a significant role in the progress of the country.
The Chief Minister appreciated the role of Pandit Neki Ram Sharma and other freedom fighters played in the National Freedom Movement.
He said that Pandit Neki Ram Sharma was a crusader against social evils and devoted his whole life in the service of the nation.
Bhiwani Deputy Commissioner Mahender Kumar said as many as 500 youths came forward to donate their blood in the camp despite scorching heat.
