Gangster attacked by rivals in court lock up

Ambala, Jun 8 (UNI) Notorious gangster Rakesh alias Bobby, facing trial in several cases of murder and kidnapping, was injured when members of the rival Nishan Singh gang attacked him in the court lock up here today.

Bobby and others were brought here to be produced in the court in connection with a case today.

Policemen on escort duty intervened and saved Bobby from the Nishan gang members who had attacked him. He was rushed to the civil hospital for treatment.

Both the Bobby and Nishan gangs had been nursing enmity for long which had claimed a number of lives from both sides.

Bobby's sister Ritu alleged that the policemen carelessly lodged her brother and his enemies in the same lock up which led to the attack.
