Future Group launches 'HomeTown' in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, June 8 (UNI) Home Solutions Retail (India) Ltd, part of the Future Group, today launched first-of-its-kind home improvement retail format 'HomeTown' at Acropolis Mall on Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway here.

Addressing mediapersons today, HomeTown CEO Mahesh Shah said HomeTown, spread over 1,30,000 square feet, will provide consumers with all that goes into building a house and everything to make it a 'Home'.

This is their second venture in Ahmedabad after Noida. More nine such retail stores will be opened this year in different parts of the country, he said.

With an investment of Rs 20 crore, HomeTown expects to reach an annual sales turnover of Rs 200 crore, Mr Shah said.

HomeTown offers consumers largest choice and variety under one roof and a specialised team of experts to set it all up for them at their homes.

In addition to retailing home improvement products, it will also provide services like electrical, plumbing, interior decoration and painting.

HomeTown will also have counters by Money Bazaar, the recently launched consumer financing format of Future Capital. Through 'Future Money', consumers can avail of fast and easy credit on their purchases at HomeTown, Mr Shah said.

The store also has three sections under exhibitions, markets and services.
