Firing at police station wounds nine

Agra, June 8 (UNI) At least nine people were wounded, including Station Officer and three constables were wounded in a firing incident at Iradatnagar police station premises here.

Police today said the incident took place late last night, when villagers of Mahava went to the police station to lodge a complaint of a land dispute, when one Mangal Sen opened fire with his licensed pistol, over a heated exchange of words.

Station Officer Jitendra Dixit and others were grievously wounded in the incident.

Sen was arrested and sent to jail.
