Punjab: Couple killed, 4 injured in road mishap

Phagwara, Jun 8: A couple was killed on the spot when a motorcycle they were riding was hit by a speeding car near Zandiala Manjki village on the Phagwara-Nakodar road last evening.

The deceased were identified as Gurdawar Singh and his wife Rajwinder Kaur. Their bodies were sent to the civil hospital for postmortem examination. The couple was returning to Dhaliwal village.

Four occupants of the car were injured as it overturned after hitting the motorcycle and fell into a roadside ditch, police said.
