By-elections for two seats to UP legislative council next month

New Delhi, June 8 (UNI) Polling for by-elections for two seats in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council will be held on July 5, the Election Commission (EC) said today.

Two vacancies occurred due to deaths of Mr Bikramaditya and Mr Verma in recent months.

The EC said notification will be issued on June 18 while the last date of making nominations has been fixed for June 25. Scrutiny of nominations will be on June 26.

The date of poll and counting of votes will be on July 5, according to a press release issued here.
