BMIL appoints Jayant Kapur as Chairman of BoD

New Delhi, June 8: Bacardi Martini India Lid (BMIL) today announced changes in the country's key senior leadership with its present President and CEO Jayant Kapur being elevated to the post of chairman of the company's Board of Directors (BoD).

Mr Mahesh Madhavan, Managing Director of Bacardi Thailand, has been appointed as the President and CEO of BMIL.

''India has been identified as a priority growth investment market for Bacardi. We have aggressive plans to grow our global portfolio of brands and especialy Bacardi superior Rum in India.

Making this key senior leadership appointmenbts will allow us to accelarate development of our business and orhanisation across the country,'' Regional Director Northern Europe, West Asia, India and Africa Luis Bach said in statement.

The changes will come into effect from August 1, the statement added.

BMIL , the 74:26 domestic JV, produces and markets a variety of spirits, including Bacardi rum, Martini and Rossi vermouth, Grey Goose vodka, Dewar's Scotch whisky, Bombay Sapphire gin and Eristoff vodka.
