Bhushan Chawdhari tops Nashik division
Nashik, Jun 8 (UNI) Bhushan Chaudhari of Mulji Jetha Junior College, Jalgaon topped the Nashik division with a score of 94.50 per cent in the HSC exam, the results of which were declared today.
He was followed by Sanket Joshi, of the same college with 94.33 per cent, while Pooja Avate of H P T Arts and R Y K Science college, with 94.17 per cent had to be content with the third place in the division.
She, however, stood first in Nashik district and was the first among girls.
The stream-wise pass percentage in the division was science-86.44 per cent, arts-60.00, commerce-78.13 and minimum competency vocational courses(MCVC)-60.96 per cent.
Of the 92,189 students who appeared in the division, 64,530 passed the exams. The overall pass percentage of Nashik division was 70 per cent.
The Nashik division comprises of four districts - Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar. The district-wise pass percentage was Nashik-70.81 per cent, Dhule-79.43 per cent, Jalgaon-65.73 per cent, Nandurbar-63.83 per cent.
