Baby killed in road accident

Tirumala, June 8 (UNI) A two-and-a-half-year-old female baby was killed when she was hit by a private jeep while crossing the road at Madava Nilayam, near here, today.

Police said the baby, Poojitha, and her parents came to the temple town from Dhokadapalli village in Kadapa district for having darshan of Lord Venkateswara. The incident occurred when they were seeking a cottage.

The baby succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.
