Automobile sales higher this fiscal: SIAM

Mumbai, June 8 (UNI) Domestic sales of passenger cars jumped by an impressive 10.84 per cent in the first two months of the current fiscal year to 181,144 units from 163,428 units in the same period last year, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said today.

Even the sales of commercial vehicles, like trucks and buses grew by 3.6 per cent to 64,116 units in the months of April-May this year, as compared to 61,881 units in the same period last year, a release from SIAM said here.
