Amarinder's son to appear before Vigilance Bureau on June 10
Patiala, June 8 (UNI) Raninder Singh alias 'Tikku', son of former Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, will join the ongoing Vigilance Bureau probe in the Ludhiana City Center scam on June 10.
Major (retd) Amarjit Singh, a spokesman for the former chief minister's family, said in written statement here today that the notice from the Vigilance Bureau was received at Moti Bagh palace here. Raninder has been asked to report at the Vigilance Bureau office at Ludhiana on June 10, he said.
The press statement furthere said. ''it is hereby clarified that in the past certain reports have been circulating in the papers that Raninder does not want to join the investigation. Raninder had not been called by the Vigilance Bureau for investigation till date''.
However since now he had received the notice, Raninder would now join the investigation, the statement added.
The former chief minister alongwith 17 others has been name in the City Center case registered by the Bureau after the SAD-BJP came to power in March. Capt Singh and Raninder, both have got anticipatory bail in the case from the Punjab and Haryana High court.
