Airtel introduces SMS service in Telugu

Hyderabad, June 8 (UNI) Airtel, one of India's leading mobile service, today introduced SMS service in Telugu for its customers in the State.

Bharti Telecom Limited Chief Executive Officer Elango T said Airtel customers who wish to view messages in Telugu need to download the free Telugu SMS software and activate a free-of-cost application onto their handset through 'Airtel Live', the multi-access entertainment portal.

There were no extra premium charges on Telugu SMS. Only normal SMS rates as per the customer's tariff plan would be applicable, he said in a release here.
