50 inmates of Mysore Central Jail took ill

Mysore, June 8 (UNI) About 50 inmates of Mysore Central Jail took ill after consuming dinner last night.

Police said that the inmates, immediately after taking food, expressed uneasiness and started vomiting in the cells.

Seven of the serious cases were shifted to K R Hospital, while others were treated by doctors in the jail.

However, Jail officials claimed that only 15 inmates took ill as they had food very late after serving to them and this may be one of the reason.

Hospital sources said that all the condition of inmates admitted were out of danger.
