19 children rescued from plastic factories in Narela
New Delhi, June 8 (UNI) Nineteen children working under hazardous conditions in plastic factories were today rescued from Narela area of North-West Delhi.
Mostly below 14 years of age and hailing from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the children handled dangerous chemicals in the slipper manufacturing units of the factories they were working for, a 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan' (BBA) release stated.
The rescue operation, conducted by NGO 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan' in conjunction with the police and government officials, was carried at around 1200 hrs, it added.
