Guntur, June 7 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI) Andhra Pradesh Secretary K Narayana today pleaded for reservation in jobs for weaker sections in the private sector to avoid Gujjar type of agitations in other states.

Talking to newspersons here, he attributed the Gujjar struggle for SC status in Rajasthan to decline of employment potential in the government and non entry to weaker sections in private sector.

The government was extending several concessions and benefits to the private sector enterprises, in return, they should implement the reservations in jobs, he said.

Replying to questions regarding the new third front of non- Congress and non-BJP parties, he said local parties in the UPA were not included in the so called ''Third Front.'' He reiterated his party's decision not to dislodge the UPA government but to oppose the anti-people policies of the government tooth and nail.

Meanwhile a report from Vijayawada said the CPM would launch an indefinite fast agitation from June 10 before the Sub-Collector Office to mount pressure on the state government for providing house sites to the poor.
