UP govt reinstates DSP to post

Lucknow, June 7 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today reinstated DSP Kanwardhari Pandey to his post and decided to end all departmental inquiries against him.

Special Secretary (home) Atul Kumar said Mr Pandey was suspended on June 4, 2004 after he was found not working as per PAC manual while being a group leader in 31st Battalion, Mirzapur in 1992.

Varanasi IG was made the investigating officer.

However, Mr Pandey was warned to adhere to the rules from now on.
