Two schools boys drown in village tank
Fazilka, June 7 (UNI) Three persons including two school going teenaged boys were drowned in different incidents in Punjab today.
A police report here said that two schools going boys were drowned while taking a bath in a tank in Azampur village near here this morning.
The victims were identified as 13-year old Ram Singh and his cousin Gurvinder Singh. Their bodies were later taken out of the pond by the villagers.
In the second incident, a youth identified as Rajiv Kumar Sayal of Ludhiana was drowned in the Sutlej river near Phillaur while taking a dip in the river. His body was later fished out by the police and after post mortem was handed over to his relatives.
