Two new Directors appointed by DMRC

New Delhi, Jun 7 (UNI) The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has appointed two new full-time Directors to look after its high-speed Airport link and rolling stock (trains).

While Mr Mangu Singh will be Director (Airport Link), Mr Harjit Singh Anand has been posted as Director (Rolling Stock).

Both were Executive Directors in DMRC earlier, an official statement said here today.

Mr Singh, a civil engineer, was involved in the construction of the Kolkata Metro and the underground works of Delhi Metro's Phase-I. As Executive Director (Airport Project), he played a key role in the planning and design of the high-speed Airport express link from New Delhi railway station to the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

He is also involved in the study and planning of Metro systems in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, etc and is also the Vice President of the Tunneling Association of India.

Mr Anand worked with the Indian Railways and IRCON International Ltd before joining DMRC as Executive Director (Rolling Stock). He coordinated the in-house preparation of tender documents and invited international competitive bidding for design, manufacture, supply, testing, commissioning, training and transfer of technology for Metro cars to meet the requirements of Phase-II.
