TRS Chief demands scrapping of G O 399

Hyderabad, June 7 (UNI) Seriously opposing the recently issued G O 399, TRS Chief and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao today demanded its scrapping, alleging that it hurts the sentiments of the employees and people of Telangana.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the issue of G O 399 was against the spirit of G O 610, which provided repatriation of employees of other regions worrking in Telangana. He warned that if the government did not withdraw the G O immediately, the movement for separate Telangana state would intendify.

He said the erstwhile Rama Rao government, while issuing G O 610 in 1985,providing for repatriation of employees of other regions from Telangana, also issued G O 564 which provided repatriation of employees of other regions from Rayalaseema.

While the second G O was mercilessly implemented and several Telangana employees were sent back, G O 610 should be implemented even after 20 years, Rao lamented.

Referring to Congress MP Harirama Jogaiah's opposition to the implementation of the G O 610, Mr Rao reminded him that he was then with the party, which had issued the G O and asked him why he did not raise this question then.

Mr Rao alleged that both Chandrababu Naidu and Y S Rajasekhara Reddy were being metodramatic and cheating the people of Telangana with mere promises and G Os.

Expressing his party's support to the 'Quit Telangana' call given by the Telangana employees, Mr Rao said his party leaders would go to different government offices and counsel the officers to voluntarily move to their respective areas.
