Toshiba launches new range of refrigerators in India

Mumbai, Jun 7 (UNI) Toshiba India Pvt Ltd, the cent per cent subsidiary of USD 59 billion Toshiba Corporation Japan, the global leader in the cutting edge, innovative technology today launched its new range of refrigerators in the Standard, Premium and Ultra Modern categories to cater to all segments of customers in India.

The refrigerators are priced between Rs 23,000 and Rs 33,000.

Toshiba (India) Pvt Ltd Head Consumer Products Division Pranab Mohanty told media persons, ''All the Toshiba refrigerators have been manufactured using Toshiba's patent technology of 'UV Guard System-Integration' of three fresh Technologies -- UV fresh Guard, Hybrid Plasma Deodorizer and Cool Air Wrap.'' The complete range of refrigerators is from Toshiba's Global Lineup and is manufactured and imported from Toshiba Thailand's factory. These products have been developed and customized to suit local requirements of the Indian consumer. India is an extremely important market for Toshiba.

The economy boom in India, the changing lifestyle of the Indian consumer and the recent development of modern trade are some of the factors which led us to increase our focus and commitment towards the Indian market and hence, today we launching this new range of refrigerators. By 2,008 our target is to capture more than ten per cent of the market share of mid-high segment of the no-frost category, he added.
