Three children die of food poisoning

Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, June 7 (UNI) Three children, including two brothers, died and two people fell ill after consuming poisonous 'laddus' at Navgayi village, about 125 km from here.

Collector Rohit Yadav said some children consumed 'laddus' -- in which rat poison had been mixed for killing rats -- while they were playing.

Chhoten (5), his brother Budhan (4) and Babu (8) died.

Rinku (4) and Phool Kanwar (60) had been admitted to primary healthcare centre in Vadrafnagar.
