Term of Rajasthan Finance Commission extended

Jaipur, Jun 7 (UNI) The Rajasthan Government has decided to extend the term of State Finance Commission till September 30 next.

The term of the Commission, which was constituted in September 2005 under chairmanship of former minister Manak Chand Surana for making recommendations for allocations for panchayati raj institutions, zila parishads and civic bodies, was due to expire on June 30 next.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today accorded approval to the proposal for extending the term of the commission by three months, an Official spokesman said.
