Tension in AP town following incident
Nizamabad, Jun 7 (UNI) Tension Prevailed in Kamareddy town in Nizamabad district today with the BJP giving call for a bandh after one man was stabbed by unidentified assailants late last night.
According to police, one Raju, working in a medical agency, was returning from duty when two motor-cycle borne persons gagged and stabbed him. They escaped under the cover of darkness.
On hearing about the incident, the local BJP organised a bandh in the town, blaming the laxity of the police for the incident. The partymen also damaged some buses.
Police resorted to lathicharge and arrested BJP workers.
The town witnessed stabbing incidents after the bomb bast in the Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad on May 18.
