SOG nabs 7 hardcore criminals
Bulandshahr, June 7 (UNI) The Special Operation Group (SOG) of the UP police today arrested seven hardened criminals after an encounter in Jagat village of Khanpur area here.
Three motorcyles, two pistols, mobile phones and cartridges were recovered from them.
Superintendent of Police Piyush Srivastava told UNI that they had robbed a bus carrying a marriage party in February at Khanpur.
The criminals were also engaged in looting motorcycles.
The accused identified as Ram Mool Singh, Surendra Sharma, Manveer Singh, Dinesh Singh, Raja, Jitendra and Sukhbir had been sent to jail.
A award of Rs 2,500 has been announced for the SOG team.
