Slain BSF constable's wife suspects foul play, seeks probe

Kancheepuram, June 7 (UNI) The wife of a slain BSF constable today complained to the authorities that she suspected foul play in his death.

In a letter to the Defence and the Railway Ministers, Tamil Nadu Home Secretary and others, Ms K Bhavani, wife of BSF Constable K Kuppan, said her husband was posted at the BSF DIG Headquarters in New Delhi.

She alleged that Kuppan was kidnapped and murdered by some of the BSF officers who were also posted there.

Ms Bhavani said on June 3, Kuppan had contacted and informed her of threat to his life by some officers. On June 5, she was informed by an unknown caller of his body being found at Bhopal.

The caller said he fell from a moving train.

When she contacted the DIG Headquarters, she was informed Kuppan had gone missing since June 4 afternoon.

Later, Ms Bhavani was told Kuppan was no more. She suspected it to be a case of kidnap and murder and wanted the post-mortem to be done here to establish the correct cause of her husband's death.
