Shelve deep sea port project: BJP

Puducherry, Jun 7: The local unit of the BJP has urged the territorial administration to drop the deep sea port project here.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the party executive committee meeting here today.

As many as 20 resolutions, including a demand to modernize the government-owned Anglo-French Textile mills here and the continuation of free rice scheme in the Union Territory were adopted at the meeting.

BJP leader and former Union Minister Dhananjaya Kumar presided over the meeting.
