Senior officer to be Himachal's new CS: CM
Shimla, Jun 7: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbahdra Singh has said seniority will be adhered to in appointing new state Chief Secretary after the present incumbent S S Parmar superannuates at the end of this month.
''Seniority will be not be ignored in appointing the state's new chief secretary after Mr Parmar,'' he said at a press conference yesterday.
Mr Singh has largely adhered to appointing officials on seniority unlike the previous BJP government, which superceded six police officers to appoint Mr AK Puri state Director General of Police (DGP).
